Masham Riding & Trekking Centre

Situated within the beautiful countryside of the Swinton Estate, the centre offers trekking and basic riding lessons using an outdoor arena. It can cater for all ages and skills using up to 18 horses and ponies from Shires to Shetlands.
There are 9 main trekking routes within the Swinton Estate which cover aproximately 22,000 acres of the Yorkshire Dales. There is a minimum age of 7 for those joining the trek which is always supervised by an experienced member of staff.

There is a pony club every Saturday between 10:00am and 12:00 midday where pupils from 8 to 14 are taught basic riding skills for one hour and stable management for the other hour. Advance booking is essential for a minimum of 4 lessons.

Riding lessons range from half to one hour for groups limited to 5 persons. Individual one to one lessons are available.

The outdoor arena is available to hire for a minimum of one hour. Please enquire for availability.
